1. Product description:

Polyacrylamide is abbreviated as PAM. It is usually a high molecular polymer with a head-to-tail bonding structure of acrylamide monomer, which is a hard glassy solid at room temperature. Due to different preparation methods, the products are white powder, translucent beads and flakes. The density is 1.302g/cm3 (23°C), the glass transition temperature is 153°C, and the softening temperature is 210°C. Has good thermal stability. It is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is clear and transparent. Its viscosity becomes obviously viscous with the increase of the molecular weight of the polymer, and it is in a logarithmic increase or decrease relationship with the change of the concentration of the polymer. Except for a few solvents such as acetic acid, acrylic acid, chloroacetic acid, ethylene glycol, glycerin and formamide, it is generally insoluble in organic solvents. It is formed by free-radical polymerization of acrylamide monomer. It can adopt several methods such as solution polymerization, inverse emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization and solid-state polymerization. It is required that the molecular weight of the product is controllable, water is easy to dissolve, and the residual monomers are low. Polyacrylamide is one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers, with a large number of pendant amide groups on its molecular backbone. The amide group has great chemical activity and can generate a series of derivatives with a variety of compounds.
